Latest strays at animal shelter

Here are the latest stray animals currently held at the Putnam County Animal Care and Control Shelter, 4700 E. State Road 240.

-- Cat: Young, male, black and white domestic short hair, found in Bainbridge.

-- Cat: Adult, female, gray and white, domestic short hair, found in Cloverdale.

These animals were not wearing identification and were not microchipped.

To claim an animal, you must present proof of ownership.

Public hours at the shelter are 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The shelter is seeking fosters for the upcoming kitten and puppy season. There will be a foster orientation session at the shelter on March 26 at 1 p.m.

Persons are asked to call the shelter at 653-1943 to reserve a space. Attending the orientation does not commit you to fostering.
