Celebrating 25 years of local fiber

Sunday, April 10, 2016

No, not that kind of fiber. We're talking about textiles, cloth, fabric. The Fiber Event Committee has been committed to hosting the Fiber Event fair every year for the benefit of the local community, and this year's event marks their 25th anniversary.

"We try to help people become familiarized with the uses and forms of fiber," Heidi Warren, a member of the Fiber Event Board and vendor for Vintage Fibers, said. "You'll see fiber go from raw to completed projects. "

Visitors can watch roving, spinning and weaving on looms, and then buy these same products,

The Fiber Event will be at the Putnam County Fairgrounds this Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 am. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. For information visit thefiberevent.com.

  • It would be nice if this article told where this Event was taking place.
