County Jail

Four people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

* At 9:42 a.m. Melvin Dale Jones, 58, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

* At noon Joseph Scott Copeland, 29, Indianapolis, was booked in on a warrant.

* At 8:52 p.m. Jerome Zeller, 36, Roachdale, was arrested on a warrant.

* At 11:15 p.m. Joshua Oliver, 20, Roachdale, was charged with operating while intoxicated and being a minor in consumption of alcohol.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

* At 11:26 p.m. Thursday, John Stogsdill, 40, Greenwood, was arrested at the Chiyoda plant on State Road 240.

Reserve Officer Billy Wallace arrested Stogsdill on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana after a bag of marijuana was reportedly discovered in his lunch box.

Stogsdill was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

* At 4:13 p.m. Wednesday, Zackary King, 23, Greencastle, was arrested at a West Berry Street residence by Officer Josh Smith.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, King was arrested on a Marion County warrant stemming from original charges of domestic battery, criminal confinement and intimidation.

Meanwhile, six recent speeding citations were issued by Greencastle officers.

* At 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Dustin Dirocco, 17, Reelsville, was ticketed by Capt. Chris Jones for 45 mph in a 30-mph zone on South Jackson Street.

* At 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Jesse Crosby, 20, Rogersville, Mo., was cited by Officer Josh Smith for 40 mph in a 20-mph zone on Washington Street near Greencastle High School.

* At 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Kimberly Johnson, 29, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham for 50 mph in a 30-mph zone on Fillmore Road.

* At 11:22 a.m. Wednesday, Hannah Jones, 19, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Eastham for 50 mph in a 30-mph zone on Fillmore Road.

* At 11:02 a.m. Wednesday, Penny Havens, 42, Stilesville, was ticketed by Officer Eastham for 50 mph in a 30-mph zone on Fillmore Road.

* At 10:47 a.m. Wednesday, Angela Stidd, 24, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Eastham for 52 mph in a 30-mph zone on Fillmore Road.
