Greencastle boys' golf team plays at Mustang Invite

Monday, April 18, 2016

After coming up with a first place finish at Rea Park the Greencastle boys' golf team came in second to Brownston Central.

"We played very well on the front nine shooting a 155, and played poorly on the back nine shooting a 175, Greencastle coach Stephen Paquin said. "We need to gain more consistency in ball striking for 18 holes not just nine. Great weather to play, but I think we got tired on the back nine.

Earlier in the week the Tiger Cubs struggled at times while picking up the win with 183 points against West Vigo's 209.

"We struggled on very fast and small greens. Being in the trees also hurt our scores," Paquin said. "As we get more experience our scores will lower."

GHS' next match will be against Southmont at Crawfordsville Golf Course on Thursday.
