Eagles top Clay City, Shakamak in boys' track

JASONVILLE -- The South Putnam boys' track team pulled out a pair of victoris on Tuesday evening at Shakamak.

The Eagles totaled 62 points, edging Clay City's 60, with the host Lakers coming third at 33 points.

No results were available for the Eagle girls.

The Eagle boys won seven events, with Joe Masters and Kieffer Vittetow leading the way.

Masters took the blue ribbon in the shot put and discus, while Vittetow was tops in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs.

Blake Clearwaters and Lorenzo Mainetti claimed victory in the 400 and 800, respectively.

Additionally, the 4X800 team of Logan Vandermark, Clearwaters, Austin Rumley and Mainetti

The Eagles were back in action Wednesday night at home against Cloverdale and Owen Valley. Results will be provided when they become available.
