The greater Greencastle area and general public is invited to join Home Bank SB to celebrate the opening of their Greencastle mortgage loan office at 16 S. Jackson St., Suite 1B.

The open house will be held on Friday, April 29, from 2-4 p.m. Coffee and refreshments will be served in addition to door prizes at top of every hour.

Starting at 2:30 p.m., the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce will officiate the grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Greencastle City Council and Greencastle Mayor's Office are expected to be in attendance.

Greencastle native David Taylor will be the officer serving the Putnam County area at this location. He has been with Home Bank since August 2015. He is responsible for serving the loan needs of Putnam and surrounding counties.

Taylor has been in the banking industry for more than 25 years, focusing on commercial, real estate, and consumer lending portfolios before coming to Home Bank. He has an extensive background in home construction lending, purchase money and refinancing.

Taylor attended Greencastle Senior High School and obtained his bachelor's degree in English Literature at DePauw University.

In his spare time, Taylor enjoys serving on the board of trustees for the Putnam County Public Library and spending time with his friends and family.

Home Bank SB was chartered in 1890 as a mutual institution which essentially means that it is owned by its depositors. Without private ownership or stockholders, the bank's profits are allocated entirely to its capital reserves, resulting in greater fiscal strength and resources for community support.
