County Jail

Seven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, Desiree Agee, 28, Poland, was lodged at the jail on charges of theft.

* At 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jona Kay Bryant, 40, Elk City, Okla., was booked into the jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

* At 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, Jami Michelle Busbin, 37, Poland, was lodged at the jail on charges of theft, false informing, and two outside warrants.

* At 5:36 p.m. on Thursday, Brittaney Thacker, 30, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on charges of false informing, resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and possession of paraphernalia.

* At 6 p.m. on Thursday, Billy Lee Nevins, 53, Bridgeton, was lodged at the jail on charges of resisting law enforcement, habitual traffic violator and traffic accident property.

* At 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jo Ellen Smith, 58, Monrovia, was booked into the jail on a local criminal warrant.

* At 3:35 a.m. on Friday, Peter Griffin, 22, Cincinnati, Ohio, was booked into the jail on charges of operating while intoxicated.

Sheriff's Department

Putnam County Sheriff's department personnel responded to two recent property-damage accident.

* At 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Sarah Macoubrie, 21, of Independence, Mo., was turning left onto the Interstate 70 ramp in Cloverdale in a 2002 Ford ZTS when she struck Larry D. Johnson, 59, Greencastle in a 2009 Toyota Corolla while he was headed south on U.S. 231.

There were no injuries. Macoubrie's vehicle was damaged on the front and driver's side; Johnson's was damaged on the driver's side from front to back. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Officer Donnie Pettit estimated total damage at $2,500 to $5,000.

* At 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, Clinton D. Isenberg, 72, Waveland, struck a deer near County Road 350 N. while travelling south on U.S. 231 in a 2014 Ford Edge. There were no injuries. Isenberg was able to drive the vehicle from the scene, but Officer Matthew Biggs estimated the damage at $5,000 to $10,000.
