Carl Albert Raymann, 82, of Indianapolis, died on Oct. 24, 2015.

He was born Dec. 18, 1932 in Indianapolis. He was the son of John Ellis Raymann and Jean Raymann nee Bauman.

Carl graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1951 and went on to receive both his bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering from Purdue University.

He served his country in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. After service he worked for a military contractor, the Naval Avionics of Indianapolis for 29 years. He retired in 1988 as a supervisory engineer.

He was previously married to Marietta Bowers Taylor, who is the mother of his two daughters.

Carl was a lay leader in the Acton United Methodist Church and had been a member at Old Bethel United Methodist Church for many years.

He was a game director and life master with the American Contract Bridge League.

Carl is survived by his wife, Bernice, his daughters Barbara Holsworth (Miles) of Irving, Texas, and Deborah Hart of Greenfield; his stepson Thomas Bailey (Lyn) of Indianapolis; his sister, Treva Hearne, of Arvada, Colo.; one grandaughter, Amanda Booe, of Dallas; five step grandchildren; a niece, Sarah Bennett of Salt Lake City; and a nephew, Jonah Hearne, of Arvada, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one stepson, Gary Bailey.

A memorial service with a military honor guard will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Bainbridge Cemetery in Bainbridge, Indiana.
