Legionburgers on menu for Saturday drive-through

If you don't like waiting until the annual Putnam County Fair to get your Legionburger fix, Saturday's your day.

That's when Greencastle American Legion Post 58 will be serving Legionburgers -- a Putnam County institution now in their 52nd year -- from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, May 21 at the post, 1401 E. Indianapolis Rd.

Grilled Legionburgers are priced at $1.50 each.

Hungry visitors can dine in or call ahead and drive through to pick up Legionburgers. More information is available at 653-8939.

The local American Legion post typically uses proceeds from its Legionburger sales to donate to such groups as local fire departments, Boy Scouts, sports programs and more.
