Work to commence on Crowe's Bridge

Initially announced to commence two weeks ago, the closure of Crowe's Bridge will begin on Monday, May 23, finally replacing the iron truss bridge after 113 years.

Necessary to replacement of the bridge will be the closure of County Road 100 East.

According to an agreement with the county, contractors have 180 days to reopen the bridge from the date of road closure.

From the south, the detour will follow Albin Pond Road west from 100 East, then north out of Greencastle on Houck Road. The route will then follow Houck Road/25 East to the north until reaching County Road 200 North.

The detour will end at the intersection of 200 North and 200 East.
