Eugene Barron

Eugene Barron, age 87, of Church Hill, Tenn., went to be with The Lord on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Indian Path Medical Center.

He was born and raised in Pulaski County, Ky., later moving to Putnam County, Ind., where he lived and worked with Robert and Evelyn Fisher who became his second family.

Ultimately he relocated to Tennessee where he lived the remainder of his life.

He was a dedicated Christian of the Baptist faith and enjoyed his life's work as a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Velma Barron, along with six brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are his son, Randy Barron and wife Debbie of Church Hill; his daughter, Brenda O'Brien and husband Bill of Greencastle; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 26 at Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Church Hill, Tenn.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Church Hill with Pastor Rick Vannoy officiating with a committal following.

He will be laid to rest in Church Hill Memorial Gardens.
