CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The euphoria of the first girls' tennis sectional title in 12 years quickly subsided Tuesday at regional for Greencastle High School.

In what many anticipated to be a close match, the host Athenians (17-5) dispatched the Tiger Cubs (9-4) by a final score of 5-0.

None of the matches were terribly close for the Tiger Cubs, losing in two sets in all five.

The loss brings to an end the high school careers of seniors Bailey Zapp (No. 1 singles), Rachel Chadd (No. 2 singles) and Lily Spencer (No. 1 doubles).

The Athenians will meet undefeated and No. 8-ranked Terre Haute South at 5 p.m. today.

The Braves dispatched Fountain Central 5-0 on Tuesday.
