Motorcycle scavenger hunt to round up funds, help Center Point family

Tuesday, June 7, 2016

MANHATTAN -- Have some fun searching for cool items on Indiana's scenic roads while helping a family as part of Krambo's seventh annual "Dash-4-Cash" fundraiser.

Those interested are encouraged to bring family and friends as the ride is set up to be mostly family friendly.

Attendants will head out on a scavenger hunt, find items and take photos as they make memories that can be wild or mild.

The more items found and the more more donated -- the more chance attendents have at winning prizes.

This year's recipient of donations is 10-year-old Morgan Sheese and her family.

Sheese lives in Center Point with parents D.J. and Lisa. She also has two siblings: McKinzey and Mason.

Sheese was disgnosed with leukemia in December of 2015 and undergoes frequent chemotherapy.

Those interested in attending can help raise money for the family to offset the cost of traveling to so many doctor's appointments. Funds raised will also provide a greater sense of freedom to the family.

Sheese loves the movie "Frozen," getting her nails done, swimming and going to the movie theater.

All of the money given to the family will stay with the family.

Featured during this year's events will be:

* Bike Blessings by CMA

* Food

* Live music by Lexi Lyn and the Strangers

* On-site vendors

* Prizes and auction items

* Reviews from participants

* Steel Horse Thunder Filming

* Thunder Roads

* Holiday Inn discount (be sure to mention "D4C" to acquire a room for $89.95

The event will be held at Krambo's on U.S. 40 with preregistration required.
