Daniel Lee Siebrase

Daniel Lee Siebrase, 58, of Greencastle, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 17, 2016 at home.

Born Dec. 25, 1957 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Wilbur and Eloise (Jones) Siebrase.

Dan was a loving husband to his longtime wife Cathy (Dean) Siebrase, and loving stepdad to his daughter, Megan Lavely.

Dan was a 1976 Greencastle High School graduate.

He went on to complete his bachelor's and masters' degrees at Indiana State University.

He studied abroad in England for a summer semester while studying at ISU. During his schooling, he traveled to Germany; he loved talking about his travels. Dan went on after his studies and taught a school year at ISU after completing his master's degree in liberal arts 1992.

Dan worked in the graphic design department and did graphic design at Sony DADC in Terre Haute for 10 years. He had previously worked at Crawford Industry.

He was a very distinguished, intellectual and talented individual. He was an avid photographer, had a love for art, history, technology, and a love for anything that was an Apple product.

He deeply loved and cared for his parents, brothers, nieces and nephews, friends from over his last 58 years, his wife and daughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Siebrase.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Dean Siebrase; stepdaughter Megan Elizabeth Lavely; his mother, Eloise Siebrase; four brothers, Ray Siebrase, Tim (Diane) Siebrase, Bob (Marilynn) Siebrase and John Siebrase; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
