Burk - 100th Birthday

Dora Burk of Greencastle celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, June 18 with a reception with family and friends at Autumn Glen.

Dora was born in Greencastle on June 18, 1916 the daughter of Charles and Hazel Wood. Due to a childhood accident, she wasn't given a chance of living past 30 years old.

But survive she did, marrying Ralph Burk in 1942. They resided in both Chicago and Greencastle before Ralph passed away in 1979.
