Lois Irene Holley, 88, of Brazil, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Exceptional Living Center of Brazil following a brief illness.

Lois was born Dec. 24, 1927 in Clay County, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Meyer) Youngblood.

Lois graduated from Brazil High School in 1946.

She married Everett W. Holley on June 12, 1949. He passed away Aug. 2, 1998.

Lois worked at Sherfey and Kidd for two years, J.C. Penney for 8 ½ years and retired from K-Mart after 24 years of service to the company. Lois was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Ruth Youngblood, and her husband Everett Holley.

Lois is survived by two children, Carla Morris and husband Terry and Curtis Holley, all of Brazil; grandchildren, Jennifer Lofton and husband Donovan of Indianapolis, Melissa Drake and husband Chris of Brazil, and Matthew Morris of Brazil; great-grandchildren Garrett Lofton, Mackenzie Lofton, Madison Lofton, Lindsey Drake, Haylee Drake and Marshall Morris.

Services for Lois will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 5 with Mary Jo Archer officiating.

Burial will follow at Centerpoint Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
