Putnam CVB announces new tourism contract associate
The Putnam County Convention and Visitor Bureau Inc. (CVB) and its new executive director Nancy Mark announce the appointment of Eric Freeman as a new contract associate.
Beginning July 1, Freeman is on contract for one year to assist the CVB with developing quality of place initiatives; ultimately producing a destination development plan.
Freeman received a bachelor of arts degree from DePauw University and his M.S. in non-profit administration from the University of Notre Dame.
He has spent the better part of his career as executive director and manager of many tourism development projects, including Indiana Artisan (a statewide art and food artisan development initiative), the National Maple Syrup Festival and the Indiana "farm to fork" Dig IN/A Taste of Indiana.
He has also served as director of public relations for Hanover College and Conner Prairie.
Freeman has an extensive resume of community involvement and awards from the Public Relations Society of America and American Museums publications.
"The PCCVB is fortunate to have found a tourism professional of Freeman's stature. The county will benefit from his expertise and is looking forward to his recommendations for growing the Putnam County tourism product," CVB Board President Rick Patel said.
A welcoming event will be scheduled later this month. The public will be invited to attend to meet new CVB Executive Director Mark and consultant Freeman.
