Geraldine Gibson

Geraldine Gibson, 80, of Cloverdale, passed away July 11, 2016 at Millpond Health Campus.

Geraldine was born March 20, 1936 in Liberty, Ky., to the late Gobel and Lula Malone.

She married Shirley Gibson on May 22, 1954, and he survives.

Geraldine was a member of New Providence Baptist Church and was a homemaker to her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ron (Vicki) Gibson, Cindy (Jim) Graves, and Jack (Sheila) Gibson; sister Barbara Benson; grandchildren Josh (Dominique) Gibson, Ryan (Jill) Graves, Nick (Stacy) Graves, Josie Gibson, Brittany (Anthony) Billings, Ethan (Braden) Gibson, Dakota Gibson and Robbie Gibson, and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Danny and Karen; grandson Nathan, and siblings, Lonnie Malone, Onita Davis, Doris Caldwell and Norma Galvin.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 15 in Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16.

She will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery.

It is suggested that in lieu of memorial gifts, please consider the gesture of donation of blood in Geraldine's memory, as she was many times the recipient of that gift from others.
