Kathleen W. Bales

Kathleen W. Bales, 81, of Cloverdale, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016.

Born Jan. 31, 1935 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Glen V. and Nellie M. (Hurt) Williams.

She was a graduate of Cloverdale High School.

Kathleen had worked as a waitress at Jackson's Double Decker, the Putnam Inn and the I-70 Truck Stop. She had also sold Avon for several years.

She was a member of the Busy Bee Home Ec Club.

She is survived by her children, Lewis G. Bales, Tina McIntyre and James M. (Cathleen) Bales; her brother, Jerry W. Williams; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Katie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Bales, and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at the Cloverdale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20 at the funeral home.
