Larry Tracy Williamson, 76, died Friday, July 22, 2016 at The Waters of Greencastle following an extended illness.

Tracy was the son of the late Forrest and Myrth Williamson.

He was born Nov. 21, 1939 in Putnam County.

After graduation from Fillmore High School, Tracy was employed by Ball Brothers Zinc Co., before its closure. During that time Tracy served on the Fillmore Volunteer Fire Department.

He was in the Indiana National Guard for six years before joining the U.S. Army in 1965 where he served for 20 years.

He was then employed by the Indiana Correctional Facility at Plainfield for 20 years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughters Tracie Gogel of Iowa and Teresa Gunderson of Wisconsin; and grandchildren Steven, Chris, Sara, Daniel, Bobby and Jennifer.

Also surviving are siblings Martha (Bob) Wallace, Jim (Judy) Williamson, Vera Hutchison, Jerry (Linda) Williamson, and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Tracy was a member of the Stardust Home Owners Association for the past 20 years where they resided.

Graveside services are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at Fillmore Cemetery.
