Bridge deck project to close County Road 525 West over I-70

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced a bridge deck overlay project on Putnam County Road 525 W. (Manhattan Road) over Interstte 70 will close on or after Monday, Aug. 1.

The contractor will be overlaying the bridge deck over the interstate.

The roadway is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 15.

The project was awarded to CLR Inc. for $882,158. The contract includes several bridges over I-70 in Putnam, Clay, Hendricks and Morgan counties.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
