Naomi Ann Benson Hess

Naomi Ann Benson Hess, 68, of Bedford, Va., went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

She was born on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1948 in Greencastle, a daughter of the late Oliver H. Benson and Sylvia Mildred Cohen Benson.

She was a member of Word of Life Evangelical Church, Bedford.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin C. Hess; her sons, Christopher S. Hess of Oakton, Ronald Hess and his wife, Lisa Jewel Bouldin Hess; her grandchildren, Sabrina Jewel Hess, Logan Michael Hess, Autumn Elizabeth Hess and Justine N. Hess; her older sister, Andrea G. (Orazco) Wertz of Indiana and her younger brother, George H. Benson and wife, Donna and their three sons, Chris, Russell and Brady and their wives and children and one daughter, Rebecca and her two children.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Word of Life Evangelical Church or Bedford Pregnancy Center.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 31 at 1 p.m. at Word of Life Evangelical Church with Rev. David Whitehurst officiating. There will be no visitation.
