Alaska Christian Church plans ACC Fam Jam Night Aug. 13

As part of its celebration of 180 years, Alaska Christian Church, Quincy, will feature the Martinsville Community Band in concert on Saturday, Aug. 13 as part of the ACC Fam Jam Night.

The band is made up of nearly 40 musicians of all ages who have been playing together for several years. They will be playin music of all types throughout the evening.

The concert will take place on the lawn of the church at 7230 Lewisville Rd., just west of the old Lewisville store, at 6 p.m.

Prior to the show, free popcorn, soft drinks and water will be served. All attending are urged to bring their lawn chairs or blankets and coolers of snacks and enjoy an old-time band concert much as one would have years ago.

The Fam Jam is one of the many things Alaska is hosting for its anniversary. The grand celebration will be Sunday, Oct. 2 at the church birthday party and homecoming.

Friends, neighbors andcommunity members are invited. The concert will be canceled in the case of rain.
