Bridge deck project will close CR 475 East over I-70 through September

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced a bridge deck overlay project on County Road 475 East over Interstate 70 in Jefferson Township will close on or after Monday, Aug. 15.

The contractor will be overlaying the bridge deck over the interstate in southeastern Putnam County.

The roadway is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 29.

The detour utilizes CR 900 South., U.S. 231 and CR 800 South.

The project, which also includes several bridges over I-70 in Putnam, Clay, Hendricks and Morgan counties, was awarded to CLR Inc. for $882,158.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
