County Jail

Six people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Tuesday

* At 5:48 p.m. Tony D. Starr, 33, Reelsville, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

* At 2:36 p.m. Jacob Tyler Wright, 25, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a warrant for domestic battery and invasion of privacy.

* At 12:35 p.m. Shayne Craig Frost, 41, Brazil, was housed at the jail on a warrant for contempt of court.

* At 9:24 a.m. Robert Travis Robbins, 26, Cloverdale, was booked in on a warrant for unlawful possession of a syringe.

Wednesday

* At 1:29 p.m. Hickory Lynn Smith, 24, Brazil, was arrested on a warrant for theft.

* At 12:33 a.m. Jeremy William Holland, 33, Bainbridge, was charged with criminal recklessness, residential entry, criminal trespass and intimidation.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

* At 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, Edward Ray Reeves, 20, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Josh Smith on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Reeves was arrested on the North Jackson Street parking lot of Crown Equipment.

* At 8:58 p.m. Tuesday, Jerrod Lee Bridges, 20, Greencastle, was arrested by Reserve Officer Tommy Downing for domestic battery.

Taken into custody at a Park Street residence, Bridges was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

One recent summons was issued by city officers.

* At 7:58 p.m. Wednesday, Jacob Scobee, 18, Roachdale, was issued a summons into court on a possession of marijuana charge.

Officer Elsiana Crosby issued the summons at an East Washington Street residence.

Sheriff's Department

Putnam County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to three recent property-damage crashes.

* At 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Shelby K. Soard, 45, Indianapolis, was westbound on County Road 300 South in a 2010 Chrysler Sebring.

Soard told Deputy Matt Biggs she lost control on wet pavement, leaving the north side of the road and hitting an earthen embankment.

The car was towed. Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Caitlyn M. Abdon, 21, Greencastle, was northbound on County Road 50 East in a 2015 Ford Fusion when she fell asleep at the wheel.

Sgt. Kyle Gibbons said the car left the road and made front-end impact into a ditch at County Road 325 North.

Abdon said she woke up due to the crash but was not hurt.

The car was towed. Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

* Lt. Donnie Pettit investigated a hit-and-run complaint at Roachdale Elementary School on Monday morning.

Lacie D. Zeller, 36, Roachdale, told Pettit she was backed into an angle space at the school in a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier.

As she pulled out, Zeller turned her wheel too sharply, making contact with the vehicle next to her, a 2011 Chevrolet Impala registered to Rick and Samantha Kiefer of Roachdale.

Zeller admitted to the deputy that she knew what had happened but left the scene without reporting the damage. Pettit cited her with misdemeanor leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.
