Besides the scheduled musical groups that will take the stage Saturday at the seventh annual Greencastle Music Fest, the audience is in for another treat.

Fresh from his notable performance as John Adams in the Putnam County Playhouse production of "1776," Roachdale's Joe Buser will perform "Back Home Again in Indiana" at the festival to help celebrate the state's bicentennial.

Buser is scheduled to make like Jim Nabors sometime between 8 and 8:30 p.m., Music Fest founder and organizer Gail Smith said.

Meanwhile, the Louisville Crashers will make a return engagement as the headliners when the 3-11 p.m. Music Fest unfolds on the lighted stage at the corner of Franklin and Indiana streets.

Ellusion, a popular regional cover band from Terre Haute, will kick off the music portion of the event at 4 p.m., offering its brand of blues, funk, rock, pop and alternative music for the next 90 minutes.

Due up next will be War Radio from 6-8 p.m.

A Swizzle Stick fixture at First Fridays once the monthly outdoor event ends, War Radio will perform its Tribute to Motown at the Music Fest on the outdoor stage Saturday.

Closing out the show from 8:30-11 p.m. will be the energetic Louisville Crashers, a huge hit with the crowd last year.

This year's Music Fest will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dave's Heating and Cooling. Owner Dave Corbin will help introduce events and acts.

Joining Dave's Heating and Cooling as sponsors are York Automotive, First National Bank, DePauw University, the National Center for College Costs, Headley Hardware, Greencastle Pediatric Dentistry, Putnam Plastics, Identity Salem, Re/Max Cornerstone Realty, Gary and Susan Lemon, Putnam County Tourism and Visitor Bureau, U.S. Foods and the Inn at DePauw.

While the focus will be on music Saturday, fun and games and food are on tap as well. Kids' games and activities will begin at 3 p.m. and continue until dusk. An adult cornhole tournament is set for 3-5 p.m. Registration is $20 per team with cash prizes to be won.

When the music ends outside at 11 p.m., the fun won't be done. Phillip Steven and the Open Road Show will play for the after party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in The Swizzle Stick.
