At the Shelter

Here are the latest stray animals currently held at the Putnam County Animal Care and Control Shelter, 4700 E. State Road 240, Greencastle.

-- Dog: Adult, male, red, lab mix, found on West Walnut at Walker Lane.

-- Dog: Adult, male, tan, boxer mix, found on the DePauw campus.

-- Dog: Adult, male, fawn, boxer mix, found on High Ridge Avenue, Greencastle.

These animals were not wearing identification and were not microchipped.

To claim an animal, you must present proof of ownership.

Public hours at the shelter are 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The shelter is in desperate need of fosters. Commitments can be as little as two weeks. All supplies and training are provided .Ccall the shelter at 653-1943 to sign up.
