A female visitor was arrested at the Putnamville Correctional Facility on Friday, Aug. 26 for attempting to traffic with an offender during a visit.

Kaliea T. Booker, 30, of Indianapolis, was trying to visit offender Willie Harrison when she allegedly attempted to traffick more than 100 small strips believed to be suboxone and a .14 ounce package of what appeared to be synthetic marijuana by hiding the items in her pants.

She was arrested by a correctional police officer and transported to the Putnam County Jail for booking.

Charges have been filed with the Putnam County Prosecutor's Office for Level 5 felony attempted trafficking with an inmate.

Harrison is currently serving a 14-year sentence for aggravated battery out of Marion County and has a current release date of Dec. 31, 2020. He is currently in restricted housing under investigation.

"I commend our dedicated staff, and appreciate the collaboration we received from our neighboring facilities, as well as the communication that assisted in this arrest," Superintendent Brian Smith said. "I am thoroughly pleased that the contraband was prevented from entering the facility."
