Norma Jane Leisure

Norma Jane (White) Leisure, 93, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, Aug. 29, 2016 at Meadows Manor East in Terre Haute.

She was born March 22, 1923 in Brazil, to John Hinkle and Mabel Elizabeth (Urban) White.

She was a 1942 graduate of Brazil High School.

She married George O. Leisure Jr. on June 5, 1942. They were married 48 years, raising two sons, George "Michael" Leisure and John "Stephen" Leisure.

Norma was a homemaker and a member of the Sherwood Christian Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Leisure and wife, Lou of Grand Prairie, Texas and Steve Leisure and wife, Charlene of Terre Haute; four grandchildren, Kevin (Carrie) Leisure, Richard Leisure, Michelle Leisure and Tyisha Leisure; three step grandchildren, Karen (Kevin) Wells, James (Emma) Price, and Michael (Amber) Price; and blessed with nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, George O. Leisure Jr., in July 1990, her parents; and her younger brother, Jack White.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, 602 E. Washington St. Greencastle.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at Tippecanoe Memory Garden, 1718 W. 350, West Lafayette, on Friday, Sept. 2 with interment to follow.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 2 at the funeral home.
