Coach Meyer on West Vigo: "They are very strong, have good team speed and some very talented skill players. Their running game is very important to them, and they run similar formations to the teams we've played so far. They're going to try to pound us on the ground, but they can also pass it and spread us out. They are definitely a team with ;more than one weapon."

Coach Barrett on his team: "Our key is to not turn the ball over. It's going to come down to whoever makes the fewest mistakes. We have to take care of business when we get inside the red zone. That's something we haven't done a very good job with the last two weeks. We have worked on those situations, and if we do the things we need to do we have a chance to compete. It's the biggest game of the year -- because it's our next game. I tell our kids that all the time. In our conference, and our county, every game is important."

Coach Barrett on the Eagles: "Kyle Shaffer is a good, big, physical runner. We have to keep him contained. They have other good plaers. Their quarterback also does a good job and can throw the ball. We have to play our defense and take care of ourselves and play assignment football."

Coach Aker on his team: "We must to continue to form as one unit playing together in order to find success against North Putnam. We must control the line of scrimmage and harness in the jet sweep while preventing the big play. Offensively, we must control the clock and gain first downs while eliminating penalties and mistakes."

Coach Aker on the Cougars: "Coach Barrett is a class act, his teams are always fundamentally sound and play good football. We really look forward to the battle for the Putnam County Bucket at Wildman Field this Friday. Our young men are hungry to play at home after two weeks on the road."

Coach Meyer on his team: "We've had great practices this week. I will pat all the kids on the back. They came to work this week. They took the embarrassment of what happened last week to heart. We have everybody back with no injuries. Hopefully this will get us kickstarted."

Coach Meyer on Edgewood: "We've watched their film and I'm still trying to make sense of what they're doing. The variable is size. They are so much bigger than us. We are going to have to out-scheme them. They are not overly fast, like last year. We have both given up a lot of points and haven't scored very many. I think we're both about the same."
