Beau Baird received a certificate of completion for the Indiana Leadership Forum (ILF) from Congressman Todd Young at the program’s recent graduation luncheon.

Baird is one of 15 participants selected from among Indiana’s top individuals for the 2016 class. The ILF is a statewide program designed to teach individuals about government, public policy and the political process to encourage greater civic involvement at all levels. Classes are held from November to June with a trip to Washington, D. C., in May.

Many alumni have taken on roles in all levels of government, and Baird has used his position as Chief Financial Officer and Information Technology Coordinator for Indiana Home Care Plus to develop cost-saving business processes that increase efficiency. He is a delegate to the Republican State Convention and has also recently accepted an appointment to the West Central Indiana Economic Development Board of Directors.

Baird lives in Greencastle, where he operates Baird Ranch, one of the state’s largest quarter horse breeders with customers throughout the world. He serves on the International Board of Directors for the American Quarter Horse Association and works with the Board of Directors for the Indiana Quarter Horse Association as well as Quarter Horse Racing of Indiana. He is a current member of the Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program presented by AgrIInstitute.
