Arthur 'Art' McManigal

Arthur "Art" McManigal, 83, of Roachdale, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at his residence.

He was born on April 9, 1933 in Sioux City, Iowa, to the late Harland and Minnie (Fowler) McManigal.

On Feb. 26, 1994 he married May F. Stranger in Roachdale. She survives.

Art graduated from high school in Sioux City, Iowa.

He proudly served our country as an Army medic during the Korean Conflict.

He then worked as a hydraulic mechanic at the Chevrolet Truck and Bus manufacturing plant in Indianapolis until he retired.

He was a member of the VFW in Roachdale.

In his spare time Art enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; children Keith (Dawn) McManigal, Indianapolis, and Paula (Jim) Tanner, Arizona; stepchildren Jay (Nikki) Kimberling, Ladoga, Kathy (Joel) Benge, Russellville, Laura Bixler, New Ross, and Debbie Hoskins, Lizton; five grandchildren, 12 stepgrandchildren, many great-grandchildren; siblings Jack McManigal, Nebraska, and Maryann Kastner, North Dakota, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Pauline Lascala and Patty Kruse.

Military rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale.

There will not be a public funeral service.
