Kiwanis Club of Greencastle installs new officers, directors

Pamela Bowman of Greencastle was installed as president of the Kiwanis Club of Greencastle during the club’s Sept. 29 meeting at the Inn at DePauw.

Also installed were vice president Andrew Ranck, treasurer Carl Singer and secretary Paul Champion.

In addition, Rosalie Bargmann, John Kass and Janet Jayne will now serve on the club’s board of directors:

The immediate past president is Cara Goodin. She will continue to serve on the club board for the next year.

The officers will serve with 2016-17 Kiwanis International President Jane Erickson of Nebraska. Erickson is the second female to serve as president of the global volunteer service organization.

Recent club service activities have included such projects as Bicycle Rodeo at National Night Out and Memorial Day and Labor Day Safety Stops for Riley Hospital for Children.

Upcoming on Monday, Oct. 10 is the Reality Experience for all Putnam County eighth-graders at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

The Kiwanis Club of Greencastle welcomes new members who want to serve their community. Information about becoming a member is available by calling Paul Champion at 719-3400 or Jim Maxwell at 720-7625 or by joining the weekly meeting at noon each Thursday at the Inn at DePauw.
