Cloverdale (3-5, 3-2) at Northview (5-3, 3-2)

Game time: 7 p.m.

Media coverage: The game will be telecast on wabashvalleysports.com.

The coaches: Tony Meyer is in his second year at Cloverdale. Mark Raetz is in his fourth year at Northview.

Last week: Cloverdale lost 49-8 at Indian Creek, while Northview defeated South Putnam 40-0.

History: It is unknown if the teams have met before, at least not since 1994.

WIC impact: The winner will finish in fifth place, and the loser will place sixth.

Key players: Running backs Dylan Hyatt and M.J. Shelton are a huge part of the Northview offense. Hyatt has gained 725 yards with 10 touchdowns, while Shelton has 674 yards and seven TDs.

Coach Meyer on his team: “I’m not exactly sure who we will have available. Some guys are still getting over their injuries from last week. Our fourth-string quarterback even got hurt last week. We do have our safeties back. Last week we had a lot of guys playing new positions, and Indian Creek threw a lot and was able to have success. The guys are staying positive and are looking forward to having a good end to their season over the next few weeks.”

Coach Meyer on Northview: “They are a tough team for us to handle. They have a very big and good offensive line, and they have a lot of guys who only play one way. Their running backs run very hard and their quarterback also does a nice job. We need to come through this game healthy and get ready for the sectional.”

Owen Valley (4-4, 4-1) at Greencastle (7-1, 4-1)

WIC impact: The winner will claim third place in the conference, while the loser will place fourth.

Coach Meyer on his team: “We need to continue to play solid offense, defense and special teams. We have had a good week of practice and are focused on Owen Valley.”

Coach Meyer on Owen Valley: “They have an athletic QB who runs and throws well. He is a good dual threat. They have a strong running game and are good in the lines. They are aggressive on defense and their linebackers are strong.”

Cascade (2-6, 2-3) at No. Putnam (5-3, 2-3)

Game time: 7 p.m.

Media coverage: WREB-FM 94.3 will be broadcasting the game.

The coaches: Greg Barrett is in his eighth year at North Putnam. Steve Spinks is in his first year with the Cadets.

Last week: North Putnam lost 28-17 to Greencastle, while Cascade won 40-13 over Edgewood.

History: North Putnam defeated the Cadets 20-13 in the season opener and have won 12 of the last 13 meetings.

WIC impact: The winner will claim seventh place in the conference, while the loser will place eighth.

Coach Barrett on his team: “We want to bounce back from last week and put together a third quarter and a fourth quarter. We had a lot of penalties in the first half, and I thought we handled that well. That’s something to build upon. There is not a chance of us being overconfident this week. We haven’t proven ourselves yet. We are a good team, and I think we can be a really good team.”

Coach Barrett on Cascade: “They are a team we’ve always played. It was really hot when we beat them in the first week of the season, and we made four or five turnovers. The weather is going to be totally different this time. We got out really fast, and I felt we let the heat catch up to us that night. That won’t be the case tonight. There are pros and cons to playing a team you have already beaten. We don’t think we played well the first time, and they’ve gotten better since then. You still approach it the same way, and you still worry about what you’re doing as a team. They are not especially big, but they have some good speed. They are feisty, and it’s always a good game between our teams.”

Brown County (1-7, 0-5) at So. Putnam (3-5, 0-5)

Game time: 7 p.m.

The coaches: Nathan Aker is in his third year at South Putnam. Former NFL player Randy Minniear is in his first year at Brown County.

Last week: South Putnam lost 40-0 at Northview. Brown County lost 28-6 at Owen Valley for its seventh straight defeat.

History: South Putnam defeated Brown County 34-6 in the second week of the season in a non-conference contest, and won 48-0 in the matchup between the teams last year.

WIC impact: The winner will claim 11th place in the conference, while the loser will place 12th.

Coach Aker on his team: “Tonight is a big night for our football program. We’ve got 11 seniors who will be honored as a part of our senior night, in addition to the fact that this is our WIC crossover week. This evening will be a great memory for these young men as they enter the final stretch of their football careers. We talk about how fast these four years go and to not take it for granted. It’s hard to believe that until you are in those shoes. This will be a very special and well deserved night for our seniors.”

Coach Aker on Brown County: “Brown County has made a few changes since we played them in week 2. They’re now starting a different quarterback which looks to have changed the playbook a bit. They have spread things out more and are looking to throw the ball around a bit more. They still run the option and anytime you see that you have to focus on doing your job and your job only. Completing your responsibility is of the utmost importance.”
