Sponsors help make GFD open house possible

Thursday, October 20, 2016

To the Editor:

The Greencastle Fire Department would like to extend a special “Thanks” to the following supporters who contributed to the 16th annual GFD Open House event on Oct. 6. We had a huge success this year.

The winners of the coloring, poster and art contests were recognized with ages ranging from pre-K to 12th grade.

Everyone in attendance enjoyed great food, games, bounce house, free face painting/glitter tattoos, entertainment from Patches the Pumper, and fire prevention education through our “Smokehouse” experience, station tours and turnout gear demos.

The success of this event could not have been possible without the generosity of those involved. Thank you again to everyone for supporting our efforts to educate our community to protect lives and safeguard property.

Supporters included: Greencastle Elks Lodge, Kroger, Chiyoda, Ashley Square Cinema, Banner Graphic, Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, Buffalo Wild Wings, Burger King, Cardinal Office Products, Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Cincinnati Zoo, Conner Prairie, Creation Museum, Culver’s of Plainfield, Dairy Queen, Eitel’s & Co.
