Ruth E. Steele

Ruth E. Steele, 83, of Cloverdale, passed away Tuesday, Nov 1, 2016 at IU Health Bloomington.

She was born March 28, 1933 in Morgan County. She was the daughter of the late Sullivan and Myrtle (Reeder) Kinney.

Ruth married Glen Steele on March 30, 1951 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1998.

She is survived by her children Glenda Mager and husband Jeff of Bloomington, Glen R. Steele and wife Lynda of Shelby Township, Michigan, Jon Steele and Terry Steele of Cloverdale and Rex Steele and wife Marci, Lexington, Ky.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and brother Bill Kinney and wife Sybel of Iowa.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Bill Steele and his wife Lois.

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Cloverdale Cemetery.
