Reservations due Nov. 21 for annual Thanksgiving dinner

Sunday, November 6, 2016

Thanksgiving is a time that our nation sets aside to thank God for the many blessings He has given us.

However, not everyone in our community has family nearby with which to celebrate. And many do not have the means to purchase food supplies to celebrate Thanksgiving this year.

In an effort to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy this Thanksgiving holiday, Greencastle Christian Church will be hosting a community-wide Thanksgiving Outreach Dinner on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24.

Dinner will be served at Greencastle Christian Church, 620 Primrose Lane, from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Menu for the dinner will include turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy, noodles, green beans, rolls and dessert.

The church will be open for anyone who wishes to dine in and enjoy fellowship with others. Transportation will be provided if needed.

Box dinners will also be available to be picked up at the church or will be delivered to shut-ins.

Anyone wishing to participate in the Thanksgiving Outreach Dinner should call the Greencastle Christian Church office by Monday, Nov. 21 at 653-5816 to make reservations. Reservations are needed by that time to ensure enough food is available for all in need.
