* At 6:08 a.m. on Tuesday, Hope E. Cooksey, 40, Brazil, was eastbound on U.S. 40 near County Road 550 South in a 2013 Nissan Juke. She told Deputy Virgil Lanning she was in the left lane and observed a truck in the right lane.

Cooksey said as she approached the pickup it veered into the left lane, with its bumper hitting her grille.

Daniel F. Miller, 58, Greencastle, had been eastbound in the right lane in a 2011 Ford F150. He told Lanning he moved left to avoid a broken-down vehicle in his lane, making contact with Cooksey's SUV.

The driver of the broken down vehicle, Shaun Smith of Terre Haute, said his vehicle had overheated and was sitting disabled in the right lane.

Damage was estimated at less than $1,000.

* At 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30 Francis M. Kimberling, 50, Poland, was southbound on U.S. 231 in Cloverdale in a 2003 Ford Escape. Amber M. Hallam, 29, Quincy, was also southbound in a 2016 Ford Focus.

Kimberling told Deputy Scott Ducker she had stopped to turn left into the American Legion parking lot. Hallam, who was following Kimberling, attempted to go around her using the outside of the lane.

Instead, Hallam struck Kimberling's vehicle in the right rear.

Both vehicles were towed. Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

* At 8:23 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, William T. McGregor, 17, Roachdale, was eastbound on County Road 700 North in a 2007 Nissan Murano when he hit a deer.

Deputy Brown estimated damage at $5,001-$10,000.

* At 7:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, Zachery T. Bradshaw, 19, Indianapolis, was taking a 180-degree turn to pull up to a gas pump at the Mobil station at U.S. 231 and U.S. 40 in a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country.

Bradshaw told Reserve Deputy Rick Lambert he may have taken the turn too wide, causing him to sideswipe a 2005 Toyota Corolla driven by Makenna J. Wells, 17, Cloverdale.

The Toyota had been sitting stationary in the parking area.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.
