City Police

Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Ernest Brandenburg, 61, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Josh Smith at a Castlebury residence.

Held on a charge of invasion of privacy, Brandenburg was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 1:12 a.m. Sunday, Harold Bryant, 49, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Matt Huffman for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Bryant registered a .19 percent blood-alcohol content under portable breathalyzer testing.

Arrested after a traffic stop at Anderson and Bloomington streets, Bryant was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 7:45 p.m. Friday, Danny Heidrich, 28, Spencer, was arrested on alcohol-related charges by Capt. Charles Inman.

Arrested at Moore’s Bar where he reportedly had been refused further alcohol, Heidrich was charged with public intoxication, criminal trespassing and resisting law enforcement.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Heidrich registered a .13 percent blood-alcohol content.

One recent property-damage accident was investigated by city officers.

• At 1:03 p.m. Saturday, a two-vehicle mishap occurred at Percy Julian Drive and Indianapolis Road.

Capt. Chris Jones reported that Rusty Heck, 31, Greencastle, was southbound with the green light, going from Fawnview Drive to Percy Julian when his 1997 GMC pickup collided with a 2001 Buick driven by Donald Cheney, 32, Greencastle.

Cheney was turning left from Percy Julian onto Indianapolis Road but did not have a green arrow, police said.

Total damage in the accident was listed at $2,500-$5,000.

Heck was cited for having no proof of insurance.
