Stephen Alan York Sr.

Stephen Alan York Sr., 71, of Lebanon, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born May 18, 1945 in Greencastle, son of the late Jesse Don York and Gertrude (Sutherlin) York.

Steve graduated from Greencastle High School.

On May 23, 1986, he married Dolores (Roberson) York in Lebanon, Ind. She survives.

Steve had worked as a machinist for Allison Transmission for more than 30 years.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Steve enjoyed motorcycles and guns.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, Nov. 12 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.

Survivors include wife Dolores York, Lebanon; children Julie Kay Barnhart and husband, Donnie, Greencastle, Yvonda Husk and husband, Michael, Jamestown, and William Small, Crawfordsville; grandchildren Brandy Small and companion, Gregory Starks, Indianapolis, Hannah Small and companion, Jeremy Courtney, Lebanon, William Small, Lebanon, and Cameron Husk and wife, Haley, Colfax; great-grandchildren William Husk, Josephine Husk, Matilda Husk and Claire Courtney; brother Don York; sisters Becky Paul and Linda Cook; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by children, Stephen Alan York Jr. and Lori Ann York, a grandson, Devon Husk, and a brother, Jake York.
