Squashing the Competition

Banner Graphic/NICK WILSON Valerie Lenihan, a Greencastle resident and first-grade teacher at Roachdale Elementary School for 16 years, received a prize of $250 Wednesday from Banner Graphic Manager Daryl Taylor after winning the “Find Jack Readership Contest” created by the Banner Graphic. The competition, which ran for 10 days and was sponsored by Hearing Care Professionals, ULG Staffing, Putnam Prompt Care, Don Julio Cantina, Husqvarna and Staff Management SMX, asked readers to accurately submit the correct count of 77 pumpkins hidden within the Happy Halloween tab published on Oct. 29. A drawing was held at noon on Nov. 7, the 10th day of publication, to decide the winner of this year’s competition.
