Jacqueline 'Jackie' Jones

Jacqueline "Jackie" Jones, 79, Roachdale, passed away at Avon Health and Rehabilitation on Friday morning, Nov. 18, 2016.

She was born on Aug. 12, 1937 to Ocie R. and Bernice C. England Gray in Newman, Ill.

She was a 1955 graduate of Avon High School.

She was first married to Robert Jones, and he survives. She married Billy A. Turner, who passed away, and then she married Roger D. Jones who also passed away.

She owned and operated the former Jackie's Restaurant in Roachdale for several years.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Tri Point Optimist Club in North Salem and a canasta and euchre club.

She is survived by three sons, Michael (Donna) Jones of Crawfordsville, Scott A. (Ray June) Turner of Roachdale, Keith A. Turner of Roachdale; four grandchildren, Michelle Beller, Kyle Kirkham, Maria Brewer and Myra Cox; and nine great-granddaughters. Also, one brother, Jay Gray of Martinsville.

She was preceded in death by a sister, parents and two of her husbands.

Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 8350 State Road 236, North Salem. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the church. Rev. Dan Cline will officiate. Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Jackie's memory may be made to the church.
