Joshua Dylan Dobbs

Our Lord called Joshua Dylan Dobbs home with Him on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016.

Josh was born on Feb. 2, 1985 to Kenneth and Janice (Wilson) Dobbs and was 31 years of age. Josh was full of life the day he was brought into this world, never leaving the loved ones around him with a dull moment.

Josh was known for his bright eyes, contagious laugh, a smile that could light up a room and the ability to love others with his entire heart.

Family was a priority for Josh as he always strived to keep the family connected. Josh was the brother to Jon (Stacey) Zawadzki and Kyle (Alison) Dobbs. Nothing made him more proud than to show off his nieces and nephews, Zeplynn and Christian Zawadzki and Alexandra and Nash Dobbs.

Josh was also the nephew of Scott (NeNe) Wilson, Duncan Wilson and Donna Wilson Wolff. He also had several cousins: Dawn, Rodd, RJ and Cling Wilson. Josh was the grandson of Donna Wilson and the late Don Wilson.

Josh's family is comforted knowing that Josh has joined his father, Kenny, in Heaven and will be laid to rest in Terre Haute with him.

Josh graduated from Greencastle High School in 2003 and went on to culinary arts school at Sullivan University. Joshua worked many years as a chef at the Walden Inn. In high school, Josh was a member of the cross country, football and baseball teams.

Josh went on to begin his own construction business, Dobbs Custom Exteriors, and found much joy being outside, meeting new people and perfecting his specialty.

Family and friends are encouraged to come celebrate Josh's life on Sunday, Nov. 27 at Hopkins Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, as a celebration is exactly what Josh would want from his family and friends. Family and friends can gather from 2-4 p.m. with a service beginning at 4 p.m., provided by Pastor Mark Miller.
