Christmas parade at Cloverdale Dec. 3

CLOVERDALE -- With the theme “An Old-Fashion Christmas” in tow, the annual Cloverdale Main Street Christmas parade will step off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

Floats will be judged in commercial and non-commercial categories with first, second and third places awarded. Parade line-up is set for noon.

Cloverdale auctioneer and creator of the Have A Heart fundraiser Jeff Rich will serve as grand marshal of the parade.

Girl Scout Daisy and Brownie Troop 3285 will provide free hot chocolate and cookies at the Pizza Niche, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Immediately following the parade, pictures with Santa Claus will be taken at Santa’s House, across the street from the Cloverdale Fire Department.

In case of inclement weather, the parade would be postponed to Saturday, Dec. 10.

The holiday festivities will also include free carriage rides on Friday, Dec. 2 from 5-8 p.m. The carriages will load passengers at Our Community Bank.
