Monna Gaye Byrd, 69, of Greenwood, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016.

Gaye was born on March 20, 1947 in Shelbyville, Ind., to John Thomas Graham and Arlie Janice (White) Graham.

On June 26, 1965, she married Danny Paul Byrd, who preceded her in death on April 22, 2013.

Gaye worked as an administrative coordinator for the Department of Agriculture for more than 20 years.

She attended Community Church of Greenwood.

Survivors include her sons, Tim Byrd of Chatham, Ill., John "Scott" (Jayne) Byrd of Indianapolis and Adam (Donna) Byrd of Greencastle, and nine grandchildren, Sierra, Kennedy, Nicole, Jordan, Henry, Ethan, Landon, Ruby and Chloe.

Gaye was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, John Gary Graham, and one sister, Donna Raye Graham.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at The Walker Cottage, 475 W. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46142.

Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Services and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, has been entrusted with all arrangements.
