Tiger Sharks post great times in loss

BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington North swept a pair of high school swimming meets from Greencastle on Tuesday, winning the boys’ meet 122-61 and the girls’ meet 138-44.

“Our Sharks rose to the challenge with several event wins and a number of personal best swims,” Greencastle coach Kent Menzel said. “Junior Grace Gillen took both the 200 and 100 free events with strong performances, while freshman Jack Riggle won the 100 fly, senior Nathan Gobert won the 50 free and junior Preston Headley capped the evening with a win in the 100 breast.”

Headley, Riggle, and Gobert, along with Junior Jack Romer also took honors in the 200 medley relay.

“I could not be more proud of our Sharks as they faced down the Cougars with poise and confidence,” Menzel said.
