AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. — Ariens Co. recently named Keener’s Mower Sales & Service its Sophomore Dealer of the Year during the company’s annual dealer summit.

The sophomore award is given to the Ariens Co. second-year dealer with the highest percent growth in sales during fiscal year 2016. Only dealers who signed on with Ariens Co. as a new dealer in fiscal year 2015 were eligible for the sophomore award.

Keener’s Mower Sales & Service is owned and operated by Deshay “Shay” Keener with the help of Kory Gorham.

Keener’s began selling Ariens Co. brands Ariens and Gravely in March 2015. Starting small, the dealership quickly began moving through product rapidly through hard work and dedication to customer service.

Thanks to a great first year and more than 20 combined years of experience working with several outdoor power equipment brands, Keener’s was able to take its business to a much larger building located at 910 N. Jackson St. in Greencastle.

With a new location, much-needed extra space and the same dedication to customer service and hard work, Keener’s has more than tripled its business this past year.

“We applaud every dealer who received an award for fiscal year 2016,” Ariens Co. Chairman/CEO Dan Ariens said. “These dealers set the example for our entire base of sales partners. We look forward to many more years of success with this great partnership between Ariens Co. and Keener’s Mower Sales and Service.”
