Happy 200th, Indiana

Eric Bernsee and Jared Jernagan Featuring artifacts old and new, Putnam County’s Bicentennial Capstone Event took place at the courthouse on Sunday, Indiana’s 200th birthday. Residents had the chance to see artifacts from the DePauw University Archives, with Archivist Wes Wilson (below) stamping programs to commemorate the event. Later, Greencastle Mayor Bill Dory (below) tries on a stovepipe hat from the collection. In one of the day’s highlights (above), Dory and DePauw President Mark McCoy unveil a chrome buffalo the county received as a gift from Duke Energy.
