Betty Lou Arnold

Betty Lou Arnold, 82, of Holly Springs, N.C., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016.

Born May 10, 1934 in Lizton, Ind., she was the daughter of William Marvin and Nellie V. (Dearing) Jones.

She was a 1952 graduate of Fillmore High School.

Betty had worked at the IBM Credit Union and in the banking industry for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Danny M. Arnold; daughters Danett (William) Flynn and Diana Corbin; brothers Eddie Jones and Billy (Sharon) Jones; sisters Emma Jane (William) Sibbitt, Rosemary Woods, Sharon Kay Hoese, Debra (Pete) Alamo and Cathy (Terry) Clodfelter; four grandchildren, Christopher William (Erika) Flynn, Nicole Lea Flynn, Danya Lou Fichter and Darcy Lee Corbin; and a great-grandson, Christopher William Flynn Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Dana Lou Arnold.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Interment will follow at Fillmore Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the American Cancer Society, Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation or the Fillmore Christian Church.
