Volunteer attorneys to provide free legal advice Tuesday

Friday, December 30, 2016

The District 10 Pro Bono Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal aid, will partner with volunteer attorneys from Indianapolis law firm Faegre, Baker and Daniels to provide free legal advice and help with court paperwork.

Attorneys will be available the first Tuesday of every month from 5-7 p.m. starting Jan. 3 in the County Commissioners’ Room on the first floor of the Putnam County Courthouse in Greencastle.

Lower income people who have a case in Putnam County and do not already have an attorney can come to this free, walk-in courthouse clinic. The clinic is for civil matters only, not criminal; and is first-come, first-served. Please bring all relevant paperwork.

For more information, contact Executive Director of District 10 Pro Bono Project Diane Walker at 812-339-3610 or dist10probono@gmail.com.
